How To Improve Cat Urinary Health – Find Out Now

By Kater On June 18, 2010 Under Cat Urinary Tract Infection

How to improve cat urinary health? Have you ever asked this question to anyone? I have seen a lot of cat owners having doubts regarding their cat’s urinary problems and the treatment options available for those problems. However, very few people think about improving their pet’s health so that it stays away from such problems.

Well have no doubt. Through some simple common sense steps you can help your cat’s body prevent infections and fight them off faster when they do occur.

Improving the health of a cat’s urinary system is very simple. All it requires is a combination of four things – good diet, pure water, the right medications, and lots of love and care.

1. Good diet – You need to give your cat a balanced diet with plenty of protein. Consider a premium canned cat food.

2. Water – Provide your cat with clean filtered water. This should remove any impurities and encourage your cat to drink more. Increased urination will help to remove any bacteria that is floating around the bladder.

3. Conventional Medications – for stubborn infections nothing works better than antibiotics. If these don’t work, your veterinarian could provide a antimicrobial, similar to the kind used in the human urinary tract.

4. Homeopathic Remedies – Homeopathic remedies can be effective in some cats and are very safe as well. They maintain the right pH levels in your cat’s urine, soothe your cat’s bladder, improve its urogenital health, and boost its immune system as well.

5. Love and care – Play with your cat regularly and keep it busy. It is very important for your cat to stay physically active. If your cat holds its urine back for a long time, it could affect its health. So, always make sure you keep a clean litter box near your cat. If you love your cat and make sure it stays happy, it will have a hugely positive impact on its health.

None of the things mentioned here is complicated. You can easily do these things and make sure your cat lives a long, healthy, and happy life.
